The middle of the Three Sisters (Charity), Canmore's icon. From the back it's technically the easiest of the three, almost a walk-up, but the approach up the dry Stewart Creek valley is very long: one trip report logs 17 km and 1456 m of cumulative gain. It's a full day.
Important: the official access (Middle Sister Access Trail) has been closed by Alberta Parks since September 22, 2026, until further notice, for Bow Valley fire-guard construction. Today's status below comes from Alberta Parks.
From the east end of the Three Sisters Parkway in Canmore, via the Middle Sister Access Trail (closed since September 22, 2026). Part of the access crosses private land: follow the signs.
