The climb to the east end of Mount Rundle, across from Ha Ling and above Whiteman's Pond. Trip reports give 5.4 to 6.6 km return (about 5.8 km) and about 875 m of elevation gain; allow 4 to 6 hours.
It's steep from start to finish, with loose rock and a cliff band near the summit that requires using your hands. From the top you see Canmore, the Bow Valley and the Spray Valley.
From Canmore take the Spray Lakes Road (Highway 742) past the Canmore Nordic Centre to the Goat Creek Day Use Area parking lot, the same as for Ha Ling. The trail starts across the road. You need a Kananaskis Conservation Pass to park in Kananaskis.
📍 Highway 742, Alberta, Canadá
