About this place
Opened in 1857, it's the country's main house for opera, ballet and classical music, with its own orchestra, choir and ballet company.
Its main hall, with boxes and a great crystal chandelier, is one of Santiago's most beautiful. Besides performances, it offers free activities and tours.
