A viewpoint on Buffalo Street, just below the Banff Centre, overlooking Bow Falls and the Fairmont Banff Springs, Banff's castle. It is named for the surprisingly good view you get at this corner.

Drive along Buffalo Street (there is a small parking lot) or walk along the Bow River trail and take the stairs up to Buffalo Street. The Surprise Corner to Hoodoos trail starts here.
