Sunwapta Falls

Fed by Athabasca Glacier meltwater, the Sunwapta River roars through a narrow limestone gorge. Short walks, mostly paved but with steep sections, lead to several viewpoints over the falls.

For something quieter, Trail 125 descends through the forest to Lower Sunwapta Falls, three more waterfalls downstream (2.6 km return).

You need a national park pass to stop on the Icefields Parkway.
