About this place
A rustic campground along the west shore of the Spray Lakes Reservoir, up from Canmore on the gravel Smith-Dorrien/Spray Trail. It has firepits, a hand launch for non-motorized boats and secure food storage; pump water isn't drinkable. In summer there's an area for hikers and cyclists.
2026 season: May 14 to September 13. To park in Kananaskis and the Bow Valley you need the Kananaskis Conservation Pass (CAD 15 per day or CAD 90 per year per vehicle, according to the Government of Alberta). Firewood is sold at the campground.
