About this place
Saskatchewan River Crossing is the confluence of the North Saskatchewan, Mistaya and Howse rivers, roughly halfway along the Icefields Parkway. It has visitor services in summer only and is a good place to stretch your legs.
Just before it is the Howse Pass Viewpoint, overlooking the North Saskatchewan valley, with panels on the route Indigenous Peoples and early European explorers used to cross the Rockies. Highway 11 (David Thompson) joins here, toward Rocky Mountain House and Red Deer.
You need a national park pass to stop on the Icefields Parkway.
