About this place
It opened in 1981, built on the collection of architect Sergio Larraín García-Moreno, and occupies the Royal Customs Palace, a colonial building a block from Plaza de Armas.
Its galleries show ceramics, textiles, stone and metalwork from cultures across the Americas, plus a Chile room featuring chemamüll, Mapuche wooden funerary sculptures.
