For a more authentic camping experience, 27 km north of the Hwy 1 junction on the Icefields Parkway. It has drinking water, outhouses, a cooking shelter and firepits; it takes tents and RVs up to 10 m. There's no cell coverage at Icefields Parkway campgrounds.

2026 season: June 11 to October 12. The national park pass (CAD 12.25 per adult per day in 2026) and the fire permit (CAD 12 per day in the Banff area; CAD 17 at Lake Louise and on the Icefields Parkway) are extra, according to Parks Canada.
