About this place
A small campground on the shore of Lac des Arcs, east of Canmore on the Trans-Canada Highway. It has firepits, a hand launch for non-motorized boats, a playground and a warm-up shelter. Reservations open 90 days before arrival.
2026 season: April 30 to October 12. To park in Kananaskis and the Bow Valley you need the Kananaskis Conservation Pass (CAD 15 per day or CAD 90 per year per vehicle, according to the Government of Alberta). Firewood is sold at the campground.
