A more rustic campground 25 km from town on the Bow Valley Parkway, with direct access to the Johnston Canyon trail. It takes tents and RVs up to 8.2 m. There's public transit to Banff in summer.
2026 season: May 21 to September 14. The national park pass (CAD 12.25 per adult per day in 2026) and the fire permit (CAD 12 per day in the Banff area; CAD 17 at Lake Louise and on the Icefields Parkway) are extra, according to Parks Canada.
