About this place
A log and stone building in the middle of town that Parks Canada describes as a classic example of the rustic architecture of Canada's national parks. It has been a national historic site since 1992 and today it is the visitor centre, with more than 200,000 visitors a year.
It's the place to ask about trail and road conditions, buy your park pass and pick up maps. From October 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027 it is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
