About this place
Built by the Franciscans from the late 16th century, it is the oldest surviving building in Santiago and has withstood the city's major earthquakes. Its clock tower, added in the 19th century, is a landmark on the Alameda.
Next to the church is the San Francisco Colonial Museum, and right behind it begins the París-Londres neighborhood.
