About this place
Herbert Lake is the first stop on the Icefields Parkway coming from Lake Louise. Parks Canada calls it a photographer's favourite: its still waters mirror the Main Range peaks, including Mount Temple.
There's a picnic area, open in summer only. Calm mornings are the best time for the reflection.
You need a national park pass to stop on the Icefields Parkway.
