About this place
The building went up in 1972 for a United Nations conference (UNCTAD III) and had several lives before reopening in 2010 as a cultural center named after Gabriela Mistral.
Today it's one of Santiago's main stages for theater, dance and music, with a library, exhibition halls, the Museum of American Popular Art and cafés on its open plazas.
