Engine Bridge
About this place
Once used by trains carrying coal, the Canmore Engine Bridge is now a scenic place to cross the Bow River on foot. Built in 1891, the former railway bridge connects with the Spur Line Trail and Bow River Loop Trail, making it an easy stop on a walk through Canmore.
From the bridge, visitors can take in views of the river and the surrounding Canadian Rockies. It may also look familiar to fans of HBO’s The Last of Us, which featured the bridge and introduced it to viewers around the world.
