About this place
The gondola climbs from its base, next to the Upper Hot Springs, to the top of Sulphur Mountain, with 360-degree views over the town of Banff, the Bow Valley and the surrounding peaks.
At the top there's a boardwalk of about 2 km to Sanson's Peak and the old Cosmic Ray Station (a National Historic Site), an interpretive centre, a café and two restaurants, Sky Bistro and Northern Lights Alpine Kitchen.
Prices vary by date and time (dynamic pricing): buy online in advance, as it's cheaper and sells out in July and August. Hours change by season; check its website. If you'd rather walk, you can hike up the Sulphur Mountain Trail.
